• 1 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup soften unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cup All Purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp cream of tarter
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 TBSP of sugar
  • 1 TBSP Ground Cinnamon
  • Spray Oil

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Using spray oil, lightly spray cookies sheets.  You will need more than one, but you can always bake in batches.

In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups sugar, butter, vanilla and eggs.  Mix well.

Next, in another bowl shift together flour, cream of tarter, salt and baking soda.  Add flour mixture to the butter mixture, and mix well.  You might find it easier to mix one cup of the flour mixture at a time into the butter mixture.

Scoop out about 2 tablespoons of the cookie dough, and roll into a 1 inch ball.  Continue until you have rolled all the cookie dough into balls.

In a small mixing bowl, combine 4 tablespoons of sugar, with 1 tablespoon of cinnamon. Roll each of the cookies balls in the sugar/cinnamon mixture.

Place on cookie sheet about 2 inches apart and bake for 10 minutes, or until the cookies have set and the top of the cookie has a cracked appearance.  Remove from the cookie sheet immediately and cool on a wire wrack.
