If you’ve been following our page, you can tell we love play dough. It’s a great way to keep the little ones occupied and really isn’t as hard to clean up as you would think! This dough recipe is fun and will create beautiful ornaments you will treasure for years to come …and as an added bonus….it smells amazing, even after many years!!
Here’s what you need:
- 1 cup powered Cinnamon (you can find it at any dollar store for cheap)
- 3/4 cup applesauce
- 1/4 cup white school glue
Instructions: Mix everything in a bowl until combined. That’s it 🙂
Let the little ones play with it like they would play dough. Give them rolling pins and cookie cutters and let them create. When you see that they’re loosing interest, have them cut shapes for ornaments.
Using glitter glue pens and sequins or beads, decorate the ornaments. Make sure to poke a small hole at the top of so you can string it up later.
Set your decorated ornaments on a piece of parchment paper or a silicon baking sheet, and allow to dry for up to a week.
I like to make the ornaments thick, almost the thickness of the cookie cutter that you are using. This way its more durable, and less likely to snap after it dries.
They make adorable gifts for grandparents and teachers.
